Mountain bike trail upgrade at Mount Montgomery (Dial Range)

A plan to upgrade the Penguin Mountain Bike Park has secured the backing of Central Coast Council.

The council has pledged $58,000 in funding for 4.5 kilometre upgrade of the Mount Montgomery Loop.

Pledging $13,000 of it's own money, the Cradle Coast Mountain Bike Club will now apply for Cycle Tourism funding from the state government to secure the rest of the $142,000.

President of the Cradle Coast Mountain Bike Club Chris Stredwick said this will be stage one of a three-stage plan to build 60 kilometres of trail in the Dial Range.
